When PLDT and MediaQuest Chairman Emeritus / Business Tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) took the helm of TV5 in 2010, he had a bold vision—to challenge the status quo of Philippine broadcasting. That vision materialized with the construction of the TV5 Media Center, a world-class, state of the art broadcast facility nestled in Mandaluyong City.
This impressive media hub reportedly cost a whopping ₱6 Billion, making it one of the most advanced broadcasting centers in Southeast Asia.
A Dream Built on Innovation and Ambition
The TV5 Media Center spans 6,300 square meters and houses cutting-edge studios, post-production facilities, newsrooms, and digital content creation spaces. It officially opened in 2013 and serves as the central home of TV5 Network Inc., One Sports, and Cignal TV's content production teams.
Its development aimed to elevate TV5’s competitiveness, offering a modern environment to produce high-definition and digital-first content, rivaling international broadcast standards.

According to industry insiders, the facility includes:

A Symbol of MVP’s Commitment to Philippine Media
While critics once doubted whether TV5 could compete with giants like ABS-CBN and GMA, the TV5 Media Center became a symbol of MVP’s unwavering support for creative innovation and local talent. Over the years, it has played host to:
* Live sports broadcasts (PBA, FIBA, UAAP via One Sports)
* Digital talk shows and vlogs via Cignal Entertainment
* Co-productions with ABS-CBN after its franchise denial in 2020
TV5 Media Center as the new home of Eat Bulaga!
The longest-running and iconic noontime show Eat Bulaga! has officially found a new home at the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong. This historic move follows the highly publicized 2023 exodus of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon (TVJ) and the Legit Dabarkads from TAPE Inc., the production company behind the show for 42 years (1981-2023).
Note: Production Specialists, Inc. was the very first company to produce the show when it premiered in July 31, 1979 on RPN 9. Joey De Leon invented the title and the sole creator / owner of the EB trademark.
This turning point in Philippine television not only ended a decades-long partnership but also gave birth to a new beginning—with TVJ reclaiming total creative control and bringing Eat Bulaga! to a brighter, freer future on TV5.

The Future of TV5 and Its Media Center
With a renewed focus on digital transformation, TV5 continues to expand its partnerships, content lineup, and audience reach. The Media Center remains the beating heart of these operations, helping to define the future of Philippine television.
As MVP once said, "The future belongs to the brave." The TV5 Media Center is proof that brave investments lead to lasting legacies.
