TV5 has officially entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to promote "responsible TV viewing."
The said signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between TV5 and MTRCB happened yesterday, December 13 (Friday) led by MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio and TV5 President and CEO Guido Zaballero.
TV5 and MTRCB together with the other television networks in the country aims to strengthen the Marcos Jr. administration's goal of responsible TV viewing of Filipino families through their "Responsableng Panonood Tungo Sa Bagong Pilipinas" campaign with their infomercial entitled "Tara, Nood Tayo!".
This partnership highlights both parties' shared commitment to ensuring that audiences, particularly Filipino families, are well-informed about age-appropriate content and encouraged to make responsible media choices.
Under this agreement, TV5 will actively support MTRCB's initiatives by airing educational materials, such as infomercials and advisories, aimed at guiding viewers in understanding content ratings and classifications. The collaboration seeks to empower parents and guardians to make informed decisions on the programs they allow children to watch, fostering a safer and more value-driven viewing experience.
This partnership aligns with MTRCB's advocacy for "Responsableng Panonood," an initiative designed to educate the public about responsible media consumption. TV5's participation underscores its role as a major broadcaster in shaping content that resonates with Filipino values and promotes a culture of informed and mindful television viewing.
With this agreement, TV5 and MTRCB aim to strengthen their efforts in addressing the challenges of modern media consumption while encouraging the public to be discerning in their viewing habits.
