A Big Win for Brgy. Palangoy in Eat Bulaga's Gimme 5: Laro ng Barangay Henyo Championship!
The energy was electric and the confetti was flying as the Brgy. Palangoy Youth Volunteers clinched the grand title in Eat Bulaga’s Gimme 5: Laro ng Barangay Henyo Championship! Held on the iconic noontime show's vibrant stage, this moment marks not only a victory for the young champs but also a proud milestone for their entire barangay.
Representing Brgy. Palangoy with pride and unity, the youth volunteers demonstrated sharp wit, teamwork, and unwavering spirit. Their efforts earned them a whopping ₱200,000 championship prize along with an additional ₱100,000 Barangay Project Grant, bringing a total of ₱300,000 to benefit their community.
Their journey to the top wasn’t easy. They had to outperform other equally talented barangays to secure a spot in the top 4 and eventually take the top spot in the final championship round. The show, hosted by Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon and the rest of the Dabarkads (Tito Sotto temporarily left the show due to his election campaign for a Senatorial slot until July), continues to highlight Filipino talent and promote community spirit through friendly competitions like this.
The prize money isn't just for celebration—it’s a stepping stone for real impact. The Barangay Project grant will go toward improving local youth programs, infrastructure, or services, showing how a fun game show can turn into meaningful change.
Eat Bulaga, through segments like Gimme 5: Laro ng Barangay Henyo, continues to be more than just a source of entertainment—it’s a cultural force empowering communities across the Philippines.
